Oh darling we REALLY have to catch up!

Television really is a fickle industry. I just had a rather amusing conversation with a Researcher I made friends with on the 10th floor.

Miss M: Did you end up going out for drinks last night?

Researcher: Well just G and I ended grabbing one.

Miss M: Ye sorry I couldn't make it, but we REALLY have to get together soon for a big one

Researcher: Definitely! But we need someone like you to organise it.

Miss M: Okies, well you send me the list of people you want invited and I'll set it up

Researcher: How about I send you the list of people that we DON'T want and you can work around that?

Miss M: Giggles Fair enough, I can work like that

Researcher: You know how it is, you run into them in the corridor and it is like "HI! How ARE you? We REALLY have to go for a drink" all kiss kiss lovey lovey and then flipping them zap signs behind their back as they walk off.

Miss M: Yup, I know that feeling well.

And the best part to this is that the Researcher in question is a heterosexual male.

Well I'd swear otherwise but apparently he is!

Hmm ... I hope I'm not one of those people that he does the lovey lovey thing with!

I actually emailed him and said

Hang on, I'm not one of those people you fob off the drink thing with am I?!

He said I'd have to see if he actually turned up.

Oh, that's just not right! Is he absolutely sure he's straight? LOL

Oh dear! I encounter that leaves you wondering what "category" you fall into. I wish I was one of those people who didn't give a rats ass. Unfortunately I'm too sensitive for that! Shit.

Fuckwit! Do you honestly want to be 'friends' with someone like that?!?

If I were you, I'd organise the shindig & not show!

Unbelievable...people are so pathetic! If you don't like don't like them...why pretend?!?

Perhaps you should look back over your shoulder after you pass him in then hall—or, perhaps you should not.

well at least he didn't say... kiss kiss... dead give away that one ;)

Dudes chill out, he wasn't saying that he didn't like me! I was just kidding around with him on that front.

I totally get what he is saying though because there are some people that you truly can not stand working here but you HAVE to be nice to because they could, per chance, be your boss on your next show. It's horrid!

@blonde - Usually I don't like them either so it is fine!

@kab - S'true, BUT again I don't want to be nasty to someone I could be working under in the next couple of months, you know? He is a lovely boy ... not a fuckwit :(

@nick - hehehhehee, We already pretend to take offence to each other regularily, it's fun.

@sweets - HAHAHHAHHAHAHAHA ;) I'm so going to do that to him next time I see him!

apologies...I tend to jump to all conclusions!

Heterosexual males don't play games like that.

gay, and METEROsexual males do.

Tell me, does he fret about his nails and hair and scream like a woman when something scary happens, you know, like when he accidentally drops a file?

The Divine Miss M said...

@mike - well I did creep up on him yesterday and poked him in the back. He squealed like a little girl.

So yes he is probably a metrosexual.

@kab - It's ok, me forgives you ;)

I hope you flipped him a few zap signs behind his back. Just to be sure.

So did he show up then?

You're researcher sounds really funny. Are you sure he's straight. The conversation sounded a t little... um...

The Divine Miss M said...

@elise - ye he is straight. I was shocked when I found out cause I had pinned him as gay.

We haven't planned the drinks yet, we're thinking a week on Monday. Great way to start the week!

@kyk - Tempting ;)
