Thank Goodness It's Friday

My three colleagues and I seem to all have had the same illness. Some more than others. The joy of mine was horrible stomach cramps and the desire to throw up for about 48 hours. My Production Manager and Series Producer seem to have had the symptoms for a bit longer and are slightly worried about them.

The lovely Production Manager has even gone to the doctors to have blood tests to find out what is wrong. He has now spend the past 24 hours utterly convinced that he is going to die.

We've been researching the various illness's that he could possibly have via the pills he's taken and the blood tests that have been done.

We've narrowed it down to pancreatitis or gastric flu.

Neither are very nice.

But neither are life threatening.

However he is still panicking. Especially as the doctor has asked him to come in so they can go over his results. I think he thinks he is going to die.

A gay Production Manager who thinks he is going to die is providing me with many a good giggle.

Miss M: Notices that he has gone a shade of white What's wrong?!

Production Manager: Oh my god, do you think I could have Insert bizarre tropical disease in here? I've got some of the symptoms!

Miss M: Have you been to the Amazon of late?

Production Manager: No ...

Miss M: Then I think you're fine

Production Manager: But I have the symptoms!

Miss M: Sighs I think we'd know if you had Insert bizarre tropical disease in here

Today is not the day to try and play with Miss M. I have a raging hangover due to a VERY drunken night out with Lopz, Fire Poi Boi and The Queen of Melodrama/High School Obsession.

Granted it was one hell of a brilliant night but not very conducive to work.

Lopz and I keep emailing/texting each other silly things we saw/did last night.

We're special.

Reruns and Retries

Cream coloured ponies and crisp apple streudels. Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles. Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings ... Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes. Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes.

(So it was a good dream alright?)

Alarm goes off

Miss M: Seriously? You have got to be kidding me?! I only just went to sleep!

So that was the moment I realised that I didn't really have to go to work - who would want a showless co-ordinator with a snotty nose and horrid cough wandering around the building?

I didn't know who to tell I wasn't coming in though since I don't really have an official boss so I emailed 2 people on my floor and my line manager. I'm hoping that none of them mind.

Basically I'm chilling out at home watching reruns and music videos. Hey has anyone noticed how many old school boy bands are making comebacks these days? I got the whole Take That phenomenon (sort of) but I just saw Wet Wet Wet! I thought they'd died or something ... "J" from F1ve was attemping a comeback via The Show not to mention the fact that I'm hearing some rumour about New Kids on the Block reuniting?!

Who actually liked them the first time round?!

Isn't it good that I can spend my day worrying about the things that really matter?

I'm baaaack!

Sorry to have been so quiet but I have been at home rather ill.

Actually I've been lying on my couch making vague croaking and moaning noises at whoever walked in the room in my desperate attempt to make contact with my housemates.

Miss M: Groan Muah firsty

Housemate: What was that?

Miss M: Gnee wadda

Housemate: Shame Miss M, you not feeling well?

Miss M: Pleading eyes WADDA PGWEASE!

So yes, today I made it back to work and had some rather good news in my email inbox. For any of you who follow my adventures you'll know that in a week or so I am out of a job and was rather panicked about it. Well I now officially have had my contract extended until mid February with the hopes of there being more after that. The stress is now over. I can have my holiday in Cape Town without the fear and panic of being unemployed!

Now if only people could understand what I was saying when I speak.

Unblock you damn nose! Unblock!

P.S: I only have 3 more days of watching Jason on TV, not sure what I'm going to do after that! Who thinks I should declare my undying love?
