It has started.
The awful Production Executive has moved in behind me.
She started exerting her authority immediately this morning and even managed to upset my Production Manager with her loud demands and louder complaints about our little piece of the office.
Apparently it's too cluttered, boxes need to go, coffee areas need to be cleaned up, fire extinguishers moved and we all need to do it as fast as possible in order to pacify her.
She scares me.
She's big and loud and cranky. The worst part is that she can see directly onto my computer screen. I've angled it slightly though so it isn't completely in her eye line but still.
*sighs*
Least she is out at a lot of meetings during the day and I technically only have until the 1st of August and then I am moving floors so won't be near her BUT STILL!
Bossman: Miss M do we have to come in tomorrow?
Miss M: I KNOW!!!! I'm terrified!
Bossman: ME TOO!!!!
Least I know I'm not alone.

Duty Log
Some more entertaining comments for the ever faithful Duty Log
"In today's edition of (TV show), (Character) said, " . . . . between Len and I" and " . . . . between Pearl and I". She has always been portrayed as an educated woman with a good command of English. She would, therefore, have correctly said, "me" instead of "I". This is not the first time that this solecism has occurred on (TV Show) - among those guilty of it are (Characters), all educated men. Only ignorant scrip-writers could be responsible for giving the caste such ungrammatical lines to utter. Please send them back to school!"
- Seriously? Waaaaaay too much time on your hands lady!
"Viewer called to say ' why do you put rubbish programmes on on Saturday all the other channels have much better programmes and your viewing figures will bomb.' "
- Umm ... thanks? We hope you lead a happy life too.
"On the starting sequence when (TV Characters) jump on to the roof, for (TV show) . The tiles to begin with are rosmary tiles (small tiles 10.5 inches by 6.5 inches) then they look a each other turn and run and the tiles they are standing on have changed to a luglow plus (larger tile 15inches by 9inches) BIG MISTAKE! totaly different tiles, noted by Britains best roofer."
- Ok, I don't even have a response to that one. I am speechless. Some people really need a life.
"Viewer complained 'Why is the background music so loud on your programmes? It is the dialogue on the programmes. It never used to be this loud. Please sort it out.' "
- Get a hearing aid.
And my ultimate favourite
"I don't approve of seeing two men kissing at this time of night. It is a bloody disgrace!"
- What time would you rather see them kissing then? Early in the morning? Mid afternoon tea? Lunch break? hahahhahaaaa

I just love Mondays
Things that really made my Monday this morning
1) The alarm going off and rudely awakening me from a lovely dream about climbing
2) Water being used by a housemate whilst I was in the shower causing an icy jet of water to hit me *shivers at the memory*
3) Burning my hand whilst taking my oats out of the microwave (apparently bowls get very hot when in the microwave for 3 minutes)
4) Standing next to a drunk on the bus who reeked of lager and was drinking a can of Fosters at 9am in the morning. Not to mention the stale cigarette smoke that was permeating from him.
5) Having every conceivable muscle hurting from my climbing session yesterday. I stand up it hurts, I sit down it hurts, I walk it hurts. See the reoccurring theme here?
6) Being given lots of boring tasks to do but being incapable of actually achieving them. Apparently when someone keeps DVD's loose in their luggage they get scratched and then I can't copy them over to our shared drive.
7) Feeling sorry for myself because of all of the above
Basically I want to go home, curl up in bed and just start again tomorrow. I'm sure tomorrow will be better. It will won't it?!
On the plus side I blew Steve back up again on Friday evening and he is now back to sitting on my desk watching over me as I feel sorry for myself.
And yes Lordwiggly, he did enjoy being blown up ever so much ....
